Amy's Bridal Party
1) How did you choose your wedding colours/theme?
I chose pink to reflect my late grandmother's favourite flower, the nude pink rose. I also wanted pink because my Mum's bridesmaids' had a pale pink dresses at her wedding, 30 years ago.
2) How long did you have to plan your wedding and was it enough time?
We got engaged in June 2016, married September 2017. It wasn't enough time as I was studying my final year of university. It was especially hard as I designed and created all my wedding stationary, Inc table table numbers, decorations and favours. We do wish we had given ourselves longer to plan as the magic and excitement of it all would have lasted much longer.
3) What was your favourite part of the wedding planning process?
My favourite part was the creating, adding our own personal touches to the day, making it more personal to us.
4) What was the best moment of your wedding day?
The best moment for me was seeing my fiancé smile back at me as I walked down the aisle. It felt like it was just me and him and I knew the whole stress and worry during the planning was worth every minute.
5) We’re really honoured that we got to be a part of your special day! Why did you choose Thedaintyard?
The price at Thedaintyard is amazing value which is one of the main reasons I contacted the lovely Julie.
I had seen the dresses at a friend's wedding and the quality was just brilliant, I loved the multiple options and the stretchable material. My 7 bridesmaids live across different areas of the UK, so I knew it was going to be an effort to get everyone together; to visit dress shops and on top of that alterations.
After deciding what sample I preferred, I decided to order just one dress very early on. I visited each maid throughout the first few months of planning, to see whether 1. They fit and 2. They were comfortable with the colour and material. EVERY maid was very happy, it was such an easy process, it felt great ticking off "bridesmaids " from my long list of wedding tasks. No alterations were needed
6) What advice would you give to other bride’s planning their wedding?
Budget, we never put any numbers down, which meant we over spent by loads. This caused our honeymoon to be pushed back by a year!
7) What 3 words would you use to describe your wedding day?
Family, Laughter, Love.
